[ ]THE STUDENT HANDBOOK
Upon acceptation into CSPA or CUPA, each student is issued a handbook. It holds everything, including the school's mission, it's rules, and other important notices. It's important that each student read the handbook.

As with most other specialty schools, CSPA requires students to fill out an application. They are then reviewed by the Department of Admissions, and you are either accepted or denied. Good luck!

As with all schools, if you skip classes you get detention, suspension, of you could possibly be expelled. Since no one, including the school, wants this to happen, we suggest you look here every so often, and make sure your name is on the list if there's one posted.

Chicago School of Performing Arts
[ ]CAMPUS GROUNDS
The campus grounds are green and luscious. They surround a bunch of buildings that make up the school.

[ ]MAIN ENTRANCE AND ATRIUM (3 sub-boards)
The main entrance and atrium is one of the bigger areas of the school. It is also where the offices and infirmary can be found.

[ ]CAFETERIA
Students can get three hot meals a day from the cafeteria. And the good news is, the food is actually edible.

[ ]LIBRARY (5 sub-boards)
Books, books, books! CSPA's library is full of them!

THIS LIBRARY IS ALSO THE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY.

[ ]CORE CLASS BUILDING (4 sub-boards)
Though CSPA is a performing arts academy, it's still important for students to have skills in mathematics, sciences, social sciences, and languages.

[ ]VISUAL ARTS BUILDING (3 sub-boards)
In a performing arts school, the visual arts are also valued. You can choose from studio art, drawing and painting, ceramics, photograph, costume design, masks and make-up, and more. It is a smaller building.

[ ]THEATRE BUILDING (6 sub-boards)
As it is a performing arts school, it is important for it to have a theater, and CSPA has three. Dance classes, drama classes, theater clubs, and rehearsals are all held here. It is one of the bigger buildings on the campus.

[ ]PHYSICAL EDUCATION BUILDING (4 sub-boards)
Being in shape is important in the theater field. This building is easily the biggest on campus.

[ ]MUSIC BUILDING (2 sub-boards)
Music is high priority at CSPA. It has its own building on campus.

[ ]THE DORMS (3 sub-boards)
This is more like a hotel than a dorm. The rooms are spacious to ensure comfort for the students. Students can choose from singles, doubles, or quads, and each room has its own bathroom, while quads have two.

[ ]CAMPUS GROUNDS
Adjacent to the CSPA campus grounds, you can find the CUPA campus grounds. They have the same luscious greenery, but there's a pond as well.

[ ]THE GRAND FOYER
The main entrance to the university is bigger and more ornate than the school's. There is glass art from the art classes decorating the building, along with a spiral staircase to get to the second floor.

[ ]LIBERAL ARTS WING
The liberal arts wing is where most freshmen spend their year. They work to get their core classes out of the way so they can study the arts. This wing includes English, science, psychology and sociology, and mathematics, along with the minor classes that do not have their own wings, such as foreign languages.

[ ]VISUAL ARTS WING (2 sub-boards)
The visual arts wing includes classes like ceramics and drawing, among others. There is also a kiln, darkroom, and private rooms for more exposed artwork.

One of the bigger areas on CUPA campus grounds.

[ ]PHYSICAL EDUCATION BUILDING (2 sub-boards)
One physical education course is required for the college career at CSPA, but some students enjoy taking more than one.

[ ]MUSIC WING (4 sub-boards)
This wing has classes for band, show choir, acapella choir, and Madrigals, along with recording studios and the college radio station.

[ ]THE DORMS (4 sub-boards)
The dorms have three buildings, one for girls and one for boys, and one coed. There is a lounge, and cafeteria, but most students go out to eat.

As the second busiest airport in the world, O'Hare has terminals to take you anywhere in the world. Just pack light; they charge like crazy for overweight bags.

[ ]THE NAVY PIER
Right on Lake Michigan, the Navy Pier is a great place to hang out. Be sure to ride the Ferris Wheel, but don't get sick!

[ ]ALDER PLANETARIUM
As the oldest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere, Alder Planetarium is one of the most romantic date spots in all of Chicago. No matter the weather, everyday can be a starry night here.

[ ]SHEDD AQUARIUM
Looking right out onto Lake Michigan, Shedd Aquarium is the most popular attraction in Chicago. If you're lucky, the dolphins will wave at you!

[ ]THE RITZ CARLTON
One of the finest five star hotels in Chicago, the Ritz Carlton hosts many of the CSPA's events, including dances, formals, and parties

[ ]THE MAGNIFICENT MILE
The Magnificent Mile, located on Michigan Street, is home to some of the best shopping, dining, and hotels in the world.

[ ]THE CHICAGO THEATER
Home to the famous play, Chicago, the Chicago Theater also holds many other events, such as concerts held by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

[ ]THE SEARS TOWER
As the tallest building in the United States, the Sears Tower has a glass skydeck on it's 108th floor, showing great views of the city, Lake Michigan, and surrounding states on clear days.

[ ]THE JOHN HANCOCK CENTER
A little smaller than the Sears Tower, the John Hancock center is the second most visited skyscraper in Chicago. Plus, it's home to the world's tallest pool, on the 44th floor.

[ ]MILLENIUM PARK
Millenium Park is the most famous section in Chicago's Grant Park, located right on Lake Michigan. There are tons of places to relax and be entertained, too.

One of the most famous baseball fields in America, Wrigley Field is the home field to the Chicago Cubs. Let's play some ball!
